Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods on designated Houston routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance for all vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging systems
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to all safety protocols and FMCSA regulations
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Support warehouse operations when required (forklift certification a plus)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Houston-area geography and traffic patterns
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
