Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional and long-haul routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload freight with proper securement techniques
- Adapt routes for weather/traffic conditions using GPS systems
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and delays
- Maintain clean driving record and vehicle appearance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer steps
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts
- Knowledge of hazmat/dangerous goods (preferred)
- Strong route navigation skills across Indiana and Midwest
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Previous experience with refrigerated freight a plus
