Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery requirements.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure fleet reliability.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) rules and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
