Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across Illinois and neighboring states
- Perform pre-trip inspections, documentation, and post-trip vehicle maintenance checks
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Secure and verify cargo integrity throughout transportation process
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation using electronic logging systems
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and GPS navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- No DUI/DWI convictions within past 5 years
