Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) adhering to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing methods are used.
- Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and shippers regarding delivery times and cargo status.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of Arizona.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations or DUIs in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic English reading and writing proficiency.
