Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local/regional routes
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Navigate metropolitan routes efficiently
- Report maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (clean driving record)
- 2+ years commercial driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Knowledge of Washington DC metro area
- DOT medical certification current
- Excellent time management skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for logging
