Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) for local/regional routes
- Execute precise loading/unloading procedures with strict adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation per DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and timely deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service at client sites and during transit
- Utilize telematics systems for real-time tracking and communication
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Familiarity with California roadways and HOS regulations
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings
