Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers to transport cargo safely and efficiently across assigned routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper securement and documentation of all cargo.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and comply with all Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Represent the Hansen Transport brand professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) and drug screen clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel long distances and work flexible hours as needed.
