Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) within designated delivery zones
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Coordinate with dispatch team for on-time deliveries
- Handle freight documentation and verify shipment contents
- Maintain clean driving record and professional appearance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (Illinois) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Chicago metro area traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for early morning/night shifts
- Basic smartphone proficiency for ELD compliance
- Must pass background check
