The Role
As a Truck Driver for Elite Transport, you will be the face of our company, ensuring our clients' cargo is delivered safely and on time. You will operate in a modern fleet and enjoy a supportive dispatch team.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over designated routes in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying manifests and delivery orders.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logbooks.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding traffic, delays, and arrival times.
- Represent the company professionally during customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License required (CDL B considered for local haul).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and hazardous materials handling (if applicable).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
