Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes within Ohio and neighboring states
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and all DOT safety protocols
- Deliver freight to distribution centers and customer locations on schedule
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
- Maintain clean and professional driver appearance at all customer sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (current within 30 days)
- Proven experience with dry van or refrigerated trailers
- Familiarity with Ohio roadways and regional logistics hubs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally for securing loads
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for communication apps
- Must pass comprehensive background check
