Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods across Virginia and neighboring states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage delivery schedules with GPS tracking for on-time performance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Assist with loading/unloading when required to ensure secure cargo handling
- Submit timely electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Previous experience with hazmat or tanker endorsements preferred
