Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to all safety protocols and weight limits.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Navigate efficiently through Chicago traffic and regional routes to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding route changes or delays.
- Uphold a professional image and represent the SwiftConnect brand at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
