Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan optimal routes for timely delivery while adhering to delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and customer communications
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control or secure transport protocols
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route navigation systems
- HAZMAT certification preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
