Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs
- Deliver freight to designated locations on schedule while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of cargo with forklift operation if required
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance with all safety protocols
- Support cross-state operations between Michigan and Florida when needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with current medical certificate
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend work
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Basic knowledge of Michigan and Florida highway systems
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
