Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles over long distances
- Adhere to DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance standards
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs (ELD)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Virginia coastal routes preferred
- HAZMAT endorsement a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexible schedule including nights/weekends
