Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) on multi-state routes
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs and compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for optimal route efficiency
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of temperature-sensitive freight
- Represent Desert Star Transport with professional conduct at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- 2+ years verifiable OTR experience with reefer trailer endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment & random)
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
