Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods throughout Washington DC metropolitan area
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for timely pickups and deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service during client interactions
- Report any mechanical issues or road hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC traffic regulations and route planning
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Basic understanding of trip planning and GPS navigation
- Strong time management and communication skills
