Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes within the Southeast
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT/FMCSA standards
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization
- Handle secure freight with proper loading/unloading procedures
- Adhere to strict delivery timelines and customer service protocols
- Utilize telematics systems for real-time tracking and compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat placarding (HME certification a plus)
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Pass background check and TSA clearance
