Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight within California
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Manage delivery schedules and prioritize time-sensitive shipments
- Report maintenance issues and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year recent commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with California roadways and regulations
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional overnight shifts
