Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers on regional routes (no overnight stays)
- Load/unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks when required
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Houston metro area and Texas highways
- Basic forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for early morning start times (4-6 AM)
- Pass background check and TSA clearance
