Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security.
- Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate delays or issues to dispatch immediately.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risk and ensure passenger and cargo safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of road safety, traffic laws, and interstate regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
