Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment to transport cargo across the region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs using ELD (Electronic Logging Device) and adhere to all DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (required).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT physical certification.
- At least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of map reading, GPS systems, and route planning.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
