Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage delivery schedules with GPS navigation and real-time tracking systems
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or mechanical issues
- Secure and verify cargo using proper loading/unloading techniques
- Submit electronic logs and delivery documentation in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for roadside emergencies
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred but not required
