Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) following DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Inspect, maintain, and document vehicle pre/post-trip inspections
- Handle hazardous materials (Hazmat certification preferred) and specialized freight
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and concerns
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork in compliance with FMCSA standards
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Texas route familiarity highly preferred
