Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/reefer) for on-time deliveries across Louisiana and neighboring states
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques per DOT regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and delivery confirmations
- Uphold strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
- Document delivery exceptions and maintain shipment documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with ELD devices and electronic logging
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Must be at least 23 years old
