Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight transport
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques per DOT standards
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and fleet management systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical loading/unloading tasks
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadway systems and weather protocols
