Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 semi-trucks for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs (ELD compliant)
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips and report maintenance needs
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and zero-accident commitment
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient routing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience with flatbed, dry van, or refrigerated trailers preferred
- Knowledge of Michigan roadways and border crossings
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
