Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across Michigan and Midwest region
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding route updates and delivery status
- Assist with loading/unloading when required
- Represent Detroit Logistics Solutions professionally at client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B driver's license (CDL-A preferred, training provided)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and delivery documentation
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- No prior experience necessary - training provided
