Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across regional routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete required paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Maintain professional conduct and represent Swift Transportation with excellence
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of federal/state transportation regulations
- Basic proficiency using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Flexibility for irregular hours including overnight trips
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
