Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes (500-800 miles/day)
- Pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance documentation
- Timely delivery of freight while maintaining DOT compliance
- Electronic logging device (ELD) management and Hours of Service adherence
- Customer service communication at delivery points
- Cold chain temperature monitoring (for refrigerated loads)
- Route optimization and real-time traffic adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- 1+ year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (training provided if needed)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Smartphone proficiency for mobile app communication
- Flexible availability including weekends/holidays
- Knowledge of California highway systems
