Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate Class A or Class B trucks (depending on position) to deliver freight to designated locations in and around Dallas, TX.
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure vehicle safety and DOT compliance before and after every shift.
- Load & Unload Cargo: Secure cargo properly using straps and chains, ensuring weight distribution is accurate and adhering to safety regulations.
- Route Management: Follow assigned routes efficiently, adhere to traffic laws, and manage delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at delivery and pickup sites.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, mileage records, and delivery receipts as required by federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Age Requirement: At least 21 years of age.
- Documentation: Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and current DOT Drug and Alcohol testing records.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently.
