Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on regional routes between El Paso, TX and North Carolina
- Adhere to strict HOS regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure DOT compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient load management and delivery timing
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Utilize Qualcomm systems for real-time communication and navigation
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each shipment
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR experience with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and Qualcomm systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer ladders
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Flexible availability for overnight travel and weekend shifts
- Knowledge of Texas and North Carolina highway systems
