Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of freight across New York metropolitan area
- Pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance documentation
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain accurate logs and compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload assistance with proper handling protocols
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients
- Adhere to strict safety standards and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic regulations and routing
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance
- Excellent time management and communication skills
