Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across California routes
- Perform comprehensive pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring cargo security and integrity
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Comply with FMCSA regulations, HOS requirements, and local traffic laws
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle defects promptly to fleet management
- Maintain professional conduct during customer interactions and at delivery sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and random drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Knowledge of California weight restrictions and route planning
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings and weekends
