Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and identify maintenance needs.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a secure environment for all.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo and complete company-sponsored training programs.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
