Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and legal manner according to federal and state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and stay within all DOT hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and status updates.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of highway traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and communication.
