Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes across North Carolina and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper securing techniques and weight distribution
- Utilize GPS technology for route optimization and timely deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete electronic logs and paperwork with meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and basic navigation systems
- Strong time management skills for strict delivery deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Flexibility for overnight travel and weekend shifts as needed
