Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A/B CDL) for local/regional deliveries
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries while prioritizing safety
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status
- Represent Metro Transport professionally with all clients
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Boston area and New England geography
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
