Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, flatbed, or refrigerated) within Austin metro and statewide routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Deliver goods to diverse locations including distribution centers, retail outlets, and industrial facilities
- Document delivery receipts and handle specialized cargo with care
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with Texas highway systems and delivery zones
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- HAZMAT certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Excellent communication skills in English
