Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional freight delivery
- Maintain meticulous trip logs and DOT compliance documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation systems
- Handle secure freight with specialized handling protocols
- Communicate with dispatch and clients for real-time updates
- Adhere to strict delivery timelines and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Atlanta metro routes and Southeastern highways
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and communication abilities
- Flexibility for overnight regional runs (4-5 days/week)
