Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for local/regional deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and preventive maintenance
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning
- Communicate with clients regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years OTR/local driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Virginia roadways and port operations
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and weekend shifts
