Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks to transport goods across Georgia and Southeastern states
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff for seamless logistics coordination
- Document all deliveries, exceptions, and mileage using electronic logging systems
- Represent Metro Freight Solutions professionally with exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Georgia roadways and Southeastern corridors
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as needed
