Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for local/regional routes within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading and delivery scheduling
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with all transportation regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Report maintenance issues and participate in vehicle upkeep protocols
- Adhere to all federal/state traffic laws and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no DUI/DWI or major moving violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills and customer-first mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
