Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance for all documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to maintain efficient delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with precision while maintaining load security protocols
- Report mechanical issues and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize route efficiency
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
- Adhere to all federal/state regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience with flatbed, dry van, or reefers preferred
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and traffic patterns
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips
