Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems while adhering to delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations, HOS requirements, and DOT standards
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques per industry protocols
- Maintain clean driving record and zero-tolerance policy for substance violations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with California roadways and mountain pass navigation
- Strong time-management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting common vehicle issues
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
