Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on designated local and regional routes in the Louisville, KY area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and handling fragile items with care.
- Manage delivery documentation, including bills of lading and proof of delivery (POD).
- Interact professionally with customers at each delivery point, resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and documentation.
