Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including straight trucks and box trucks, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Prepare and manage delivery documentation accurately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Deliver goods to commercial and residential customers while providing exceptional customer service.
- Uphold the company's high standards for safety and operational efficiency at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform routine vehicle checks.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
