Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Chicagoland overnight
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment handling protocols
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Operate in all weather conditions with defensive driving techniques
- Complete required paperwork and route documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during shifts
- Flexible availability for overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Knowledge of Chicago metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
