Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Chicago metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using our digital tracking system
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues
- Coordinate with dispatchers for route adjustments and real-time updates
- Ensure secure handling of high-value and temperature-sensitive freight
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong knowledge of Chicago area highways and city streets
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
